CAPTURING THE right VIBE
The new and improved website needed to appeal to lovers of Southeast Asian food, but maintain the aesthetic of their physical restaurant. Think handcrafted, rustic, earthy, illustrative and delicious.
How could all of this come across in a single web page? This was a challenge I was itching to solve!
COLLABORATION IS KEY
While we were working on this project, the entire planet was going into a pandemic meltdown. This meant that our initial workshop with Trini and Mike was held remotely. It also made it a little trickier than usual for me to capture the vibe of their restaurant, as I couldn’t physically visit it.
I worked around this by having an online wireframing session using Invision freehand to collaborate on ideas and as a result, offered a few different design concepts for Trini and Mike to choose from.
Concept Designs
After getting feedback on my concepts, I made a few minor adjustments to imagery and colour.
Having small touchpoints throughout the project helps us ensure we don’t stray too far down the wrong path and also allows us to pivot direction when expectations or goals unexpectedly change.
Optimised for every Device
WCAG 2.0 AA accessible and optimised for every device, so that anybody can access this website wherever they are! We’re working to make clunky mobile websites a thing of the past.
The beauty of Wordpress
Our Developers worked hard to built a flexible custom WordPress backend for The Little Rickshaw. We strive to make every one of our websites easy and intuitive to update and customise.
Trini and Mike will have no trouble updating their delicious menu whenever they need to.
Presenting The Little Rickshaw
Together with Trini and Mike, we worked to create a simple, functional website that captures the look and feel of The Little Rickshaw Restaurant.
