The competitive business landscape on Facebook is an inferno, for you to be even noticed in a typical user’s feed is no walk in the park. Here are 3 tips to get a leg up on your competitors with your Facebook ads.
- Make sure your ad has Visual Appeal, it should be simple, clear and easy to digest at a quick glance.
- It should have a clear Call To Action, the user needs to easily know what to do. It should create a sense of urgency and encourage them to tap on on your ad.
- Your ad should create a sense of Value and Expected Satisfaction, this could be done through discounts, offers or even an emotional image such as a happy wife receiving a gift.
With these 3 points in mind, let’s analyse some Facebook ads together to gather some thoughts and see if they measure up!
Fundera is offering ways to fund your business. The visual appeal of the ad is quite effective using bold vector imagery, but what I’m most impressed with is the creative use of a ‘trick’ call-to-action. It’s adummy money slider…don’t you just want to slide that thing? I do! It’s value is also quite clear offering the ‘lowest rates’ and a free service.
The visual appeal for this Quip promo
is off the charts – it’s clean, it’s striking and it’s minimalistic. Again, this one has another dummy call to action button within the image. It’s offering the user a tool to get things done smarter with a ‘quippy’ line, nice.
This one is really creative, something
isn’t quite right and it’s quirky. It’s really quite eye-catching, and the call-to-action stands out with ‘Join CoPromote today’. Although one could argue that it isn’t quite clicky enough, the value proposition is clear indicating you’re able to reach a new audience for FREE!!
People love food, so that’s a great
start. Naturebox’s creative here is very bold and appetising and uses a good design structure. It sports a clear call-to-action with the large free trial badge and a great value proposition in trying free samples.
Visually, this ad from Freeletics is
quite motivational, particularly to men who want to get fit. It features good use of photography and a bold call-to-action utilising an inspiring slogan. It also shows expected satisfaction saying, I should have shredded abs like these guys!
