I know we say this every January but CAN YOU BELIEVE IT’S A NEW YEAR ALREADY!?
I for one am in denial, so I thought I’d spend some time looking over our projects from 2021. I asked the team to let me know some standouts from their perspective.
2021 was a tough year for many reasons, but we really came together when we needed to and got some amazing projects off the ground. It was an exciting year of growth, we launched a lot of awesome work that we are really proud of. From exciting apps to award-winning websites, it was a hell of a year. Take a look at some of our highlights below.
Scott Salisbury Homes – Haydz
Scott Salisbury Homes is a project that allowed me to push my creativity to new places. It was exciting to work with somebody who trusted us to do the best work and could leave their website in our hands. It is one of the projects I am most proud of and has gone on to win a small handful of awards.
Viterra – David
Through customer feedback and usage insights, 2021 was a a big year for additions to the Viterra apps. From adding lots of small usability improvements, to rolling out new pieces of functionality, our team were super stoked with the work we completed on the Viterra iOS and Android apps last year.

Pulteney Grammar School – EK
Pulteney’s website project was definitely a highlight of 2021, having had the pleasure of working with Julia and her team to create the masterpiece that is their new website! Every step of the process was engaging, collaborative and very much a shared journey – not only with Pulteney’s project team, but also current parents and students, ensuring that all key people contributed throughout the process. Combined with an incredible design and user experience, the unique elements of the website; an informative parent portal, intuitive uniform shop and creative student page, really put the website a step above. We can’t wait to see what Pulteney Grammar School does next!
St Peter’s Old Collegians – Mel
Back in April 2021, we launched a brand new website for St Peter’s Old Collegians. We have been working with St Peter’s College for many years now, so we were stoked to carry on the relationship with this site for their old scholars, and we loved working with Annie and her team.
At the start of the project we held two separate workshop sessions; one with the stakeholders from SPOC, and a second with some ex-students of all ages. While we obviously keep the organisation’s goals front and centre, this second session was invaluable in grasping what was important to the audience themselves, and how they wanted to engage with the platform.
We designed and developed the website from the ground up. With optimal user experience design, we structured the pages and navigation of the new website to the members’ needs.
The result is a beautifully engaging site, which is also easy for admins to edit and manage in the backend. Result!
Weber Outdoor Kitchen App – EK & David
Weber’s Outdoor Kitchen App is now not only an in-store tablet app, but a customer-facing web app which can be experienced at home via desktop or mobile. The journey to land on the end result was interesting – careful consideration needed to be given to design elements, particularly for mobile. Imagine trying to optimise large kitchen renders to be displayed on a small mobile screen! Working alongside our experienced designer Nick and the Weber team, we created a seamless and dynamic experience which ensured that the kitchen-build process, paired with the kitchen renders, were displayed beautifully. All in all, this was a very rewarding project and we are looking forward to hearing feedback from Weber’s customers!

The Weber Outdoor Kitchen Designer project progressed leaps and bounds in 2o21. The team loved working through and adjusting to the twists and turns of the Australian retail climate. From launching the Weber Outdoor Kitchen Designer staff iPad app, the Kitchen Admin Management web portal and most recently the Outdoor Kitchen Designer Customer PWA, we’ve been kept on our toes and had a blast working through similar concepts with a widely different user base.

Myriota – Nick
Myriota have a truly exciting product, and as a bit of tech nerd I couldn’t wait to work with them. They are truly a smart and passionate bunch. Planning and redesigning their Device Manager was a joy, and learning about satellite tech and how it interacts with their devices was very interesting. I’m also a sucker for designing software with high functionality UI so it never gets old. Mmmm the button outlines, the highlighted UI elements states…
Here’s to 2022 and all the exciting projects to come!
